1. Crystal Osc. and RF deck-completely cleaned and lubricated. All coil assy's, including all slug racks were all individually checked and meticulously cleaned. All the old paper caps were replaced with quality orange drop caps or equiv. All switches cleaned and lubricated with De-oxit. All the other components were bench checked as well.
2. IF Deck-completly cleaned and aligned. All brown beauty caps were replaced with orange drop capacitors or equivalent. If requested BFO injection and agc mods for SSB(completely reversible).
3. Power Supply- completely cleaned by hand. If the original 26Z5's are good and still in place, no changes or modifications. If missing or bad, the unit is equipment with solid state diode substitute.
4. Audio Deck- All brown beauty and other paper caps replaced with good quality orange drop or mylar caps. C609 replaced with good quality 10uf electrolytic. C604 and C605 replaced with 0.1uf caps instead of the stock cap value for more low frequency response. This is a great mod developed by another tremendous restorer to the north of me which really gets rid of that hollow sounding audio. The unit has plenty of reserve audio gain and fidelity and sounds great!!!
5. PTO-Disassemble, clean, lubricate, and reassemble. The unit was checked thoroughly with the HP counter, put back in unit and endpoints setup at 10 MHZ.
6. Chassis- Chassis taken completely apart and completely washed, bead blasted, wet sanded, and polished.
